Giving the second language acquisition a boost

The Balingua method is especially designed to propel a learner (beginner) right in the middle of the studied language in a very short time.

The Balingua method is first and foremost aimed at beginners. Its goal is to boost second language acquisition (in French: "BALingua: Booster l’Acquisition des Langues").

Considering the aims of Balingua – to acquire syntactic mechanisms of the studied language – this method does not provide any grammatical exercises or lists of vocabulary to be studied by heart. For this reason, the Balingua method can perfectly be used as a way of introduction or in addition to other language learning methods or other learning devises (language immersion, language courses, other e-learning methods, …).

For example: working 20 to 30 hours with the Balingua method in Portuguese enables one to learn the whole of syntactic constructions of the studied language as well as 300 vocabulary words. On this basis, the learner can carry on with the method of his choice in order to put the finishing touches to his grammatical mastering of the language (orally and/or in writing) as well as to broaden his vocabulary.

The Balingua method is to language learning what the building shell is to the building of a house. There is no point in trying to put doors, windows or slates without foundations!

Paper support

Until fairly recently, Balingua was designed for electronic support and aimed at a self-learning public of adults only. Now, Balingua also exists in a paper support for a traditional public in schools. The Balingua method can perfectly be used in schools with teachers, in small or larger groups, without any computer material.
